Win $2,000 for Promoting Dissection Alternatives
Do you know a middle or high school student or teacher who has made strides to replace dissection with humane, nonanimal teaching methods or who has implemented or expanded a dissection choice policy? If so, we encourage you to nominate him or her for PCRM’s inaugural Cut Above Awards for Dissection Alternatives.
These awards will recognize a student and educator who have worked to replace harmful and unnecessary animal use in favor of modern, computerized teaching methods or other alternatives to dissection.
Each award is $2,000, which includes $1,000 for the winning student and educator and $1,000 for each of their schools.
To nominate a student or educator for a Cut Above Award, download and complete a nomination form (PDF) or submit a nomination online. Self nominations are also welcome and encouraged.
The deadline to apply is December 1, 2008. Award winners will be notified by December 15.
